The NaMo administration on Tuesday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle at Secretary, Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary level:

1. Sanjeeva Kumar (IAS:1986:AM) appointed as Secretary, Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs vice N N Sinha (IAS:1987:BH). Presently, he is Special Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
2. Ms. Vasudha Mishra (IAS:1987:TG) appointed as Secretary, UPSC under DOPT in the rank and pay of Secretary to Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post. Presently, she is Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare.
3. Rakesh Sarwal (IAS:1988:TR) appointed as Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of HRD.
4. S Kishore (IAS:1989:WB), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce.
5. Katikithala Srinivas (IAS:1989:GJ) appointed as Additional Secretary and Establishment Officer (DoPT) vice Pradip Kumar Tripathi (IAS:1987:JK). Presently, he is  Additional Secretary, DoPT.
6. Anurag Jain (IAS:1989:MP), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Vice Chairman, Delhi Development Authority  (DDA) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to Government of India.
7. Devendra Kumar Singh (IAS:1989:KL), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
8. Shiv Das Meena (IAS:1989:TN) appointed as Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to Government of India. Presently, he is working as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
9. Manoj Ahuja (IAS:1990:OR) appointed as Chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post. He replaces Ms Arti Karwal (IAS:1988:GJ). Presently Ahuja is working as Special Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (DoPT).
10. Ms. Arti Ahuja (IAS:1990:OR) appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare. Presently she is Special Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration.
11. Kumar Alok (IAS:1990:TR), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR).
12. Ms Nivedita Shukla Verma (IAS:1991:UP), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence.
13. Ms V Vidyavathi (IAS:1991:KN), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Director-General, Archaeological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
14. Rajendra Kumar (IAS:1992:TN), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Director-General, Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ministry of Labour & Employment in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
15. Rakesh Ranjan (IAS:1992:AM), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of HRD vice Rakesh Sarwal (IAS:1988:TR).
16. Anil Kumar Nayak (IOFS:1986) appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Department of Posts. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines.
17. Aniruddha Kumar (IRS:IT:1987) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power.
18. Subir Mallick (IA&AS:1989) appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Department of Agricultural Research and Education. Presently, he is Additional Financial Advisor and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence (Finance).
19. Ms. Anuradha Thakur (IAS:1994:HP) appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat. Presently, she is Joint Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), Ministry of Finance.

In addition, the ACC also approved in-situ up-gradation of five Joint Secretary level officers to the level of Additional Secretary, as a measure personal to them:

1. Ashish Gupta (IPS:1989:UP), CEO, NATGRID, Ministry of Home Affairs
2. Ms Rashmi Chowdhary (IRPS:1989), Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training.
3. Pankaj Kumar Mishra (IRS IT:1989), Director, Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND), Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
4. Anand Mohan Bajaj (IA&AS:1990), Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
5. Ms Arti Bhatnagar (IDAS:1990), Chief Vigilance Officer, Air India Ltd.
