New Delhi (22.09.2021): The NaMo administration on Wednesday cleared the appointment of thirteen secretaries in the Government of India whereas it elevated (in-situ) nine IAS officers as Special Secretary (GoI) in the rank and pay of union secretaries. Accordingly;
- Pradip Kumar Tripathi (lAS:1987:JK) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT). Presently, he is Secretary, Ministry of Steel.
- Rajiv Bansal (lAS:1988:NL) was appointed as Secretary Ministry of Civil Aviation. He replaces Pradeep Singh Kharola (lAS:1985:KN) who will be retiring this month-end. Presently, Bansal is working as CMD, Air India.
- Govind Mohan (lAS:1989:SK) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Culture vice Raghvendra Singh (Retd lAS:1983:WB) upon completion of his term on September 30. Presently, Govind Mohan is Additional Secretary, Department of Home.
- K Rajaraman (lAS:1989:TN) appointed as Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications vice Anshu Prakash (lAS:1986:UT) retiring this month-end. Presently, Rajaraman is working as Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs.
- Anurag Jain (IAS:1989:MP) was appointed as Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Presently, he is Vice Chairman, Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
- Ms Ansuli Arya (lAS:1989:BH) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs. Presently, she is Administrator, Universal Service Obligation Fund, Department of Telecommunications.
- Rajesh Aggarwal (lAS:1989:MH) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Presently, he is Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
- Lok Ranjan (lAS:1989:TR) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER). He is Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT)
- Devendra Kumar Singh (lAS:1989:KL) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation. He is Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
- Sunil Barthwal (lAS:1989:BH) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment. Presently, he is working as Central Provident Fund Commissioner, Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).
- Ms. Sujata Chaturvedi (lAS:1989:BH) appointed as Secretary, Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports vice Ravi Mittal (lAS:1986:BH) retiring this month-end. She is Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT).
- Ms. Anuradha Prasad (IDAS:1986) was appointed as Secretary, Inter-State Council Secretariat (MHA) vice Sanjeev Gupta (IAS:1985:HP) upon his superannuation this month-end. Presently, she is Special Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
- K Sanjay Murthy (lAS:1989:HP) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education vice Amit Khare (lAS:1985:JH). Presently, he is CEO & MD of National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
Further, as many as nine additional secretaries level officers (1989 batch) were in-situ upgraded in the rank of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. The list of elevated in the rank & pay of union secretary goes as follows:
